A "This is a gift" checkbox with a message and names, on the product page or the cart. Optional paid gift wrap in up to 3 styles. Gift orders get a gift tag and a gift receipt with no prices.
Three steps
Install the app, choose your options, add the block in the theme editor.
Choose your options
Set the message length, whether to ask for sender and recipient names, and which products show the gift option: all products or chosen collections.
Add gift wrap if you want
Name up to 3 wrap styles, add a photo for each, and set one price. The app creates a hidden Gift wrap product. When a shopper picks a style it is added to the cart, and removed if they untick it.
Add the block
Put the Gift options app block on the product page or the cart page. The gift details are saved on the order and shown in Shopify admin.
What you get
Admin and storefront text in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German or Italian. One price. No order limits.
Gift checkbox and message
Shoppers tick "This is a gift", write a message up to the length you set, and add who it is to and from.
Paid gift wrap
Up to 3 styles with photos and one price. The wrap is a normal cart line, so it is paid at checkout like any product.
Gift tag and order note
Gift orders get the tag gift, and the message, names and wrap are written to the order note, so they show in admin and in order search.
Gift receipt
Print a receipt that lists the items and the message, with no prices. A snippet is included to add the message to Shopify packing slips.
Show it where you want
All products or only chosen collections. Turn it off at any time from the app.
The price does not grow with the store
$4.99 a month. It is not tied to orders or revenue, so it stays $4.99 if the store sells more.

Questions
Where does the gift message go?
It is saved on the order as order details (cart attributes) named Gift, Gift message, Gift to, Gift from and Gift wrap. You see them on the order page in Shopify admin.
How does gift wrap get paid?
The app creates a hidden product called Gift wrap with one variant per style. When a shopper picks a style, one wrap is added to the cart and paid at checkout. It is removed if they untick the gift box or pick no wrap.
When is the gift tag added?
When you open Gift orders in the app, new gift orders get the tag gift and a note with the message. Tagging orders automatically as they come in will be added once Shopify approves the app's access to order data.
Is there a limit on orders?
No. The plan is $4.99 a month with no order or revenue limits.
Do I need a theme developer?
Usually no. Add the Gift options app block in the theme editor. To print the message on Shopify packing slips, paste the short snippet from the setup guide into the packing slip template.
Which languages are supported?
The storefront text follows the theme language in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German or Italian. The admin uses the language you pick in the app.
What happens when I cancel?
Uninstall the app and Shopify stops the charge. We delete the login session right away, and the store's settings when Shopify sends the shop/redact webhook (usually within 48 hours). The Gift wrap product stays in your store until you delete it.
